Cicpc stops man who kept his wife and children in captivity for a year in Caricuao

Officials of the Corps of Scientific, Criminal and Criminal Investigations (Cicpc) achieved the arrest of an individual who kept his wife and children in captivity for a year in a residence located in the UD-3 of Caricuao. The detainee was identified as Raúl Oviedo Pereira Osorio, 45 years old.

The victims are his wife, 32, and his children 6 and 9 years old. As reported by the director of the Cicpc, Douglas Rico, the detention occurred after a complaint made by the wife of the aggressor, who reported the prolonged period of captivity and the constant abuses suffered.

«Knowledge was known by complaint filed by the victimizer’s sentimental couple, that this man kept them locked in a house located in the UD-3 of Caricuao. They constantly and physically assaulted them with several objects among them a wooden stick, threatening them of death if they left the place; This motivated to couple problems, ”said Rico. The victim managed to escape from the home together with his children, with the help of a neighbor, and subsequently proceeded to file the complaint with the authorities.

The detainee was made available to the Auxiliary Prosecutor’s Office 150 of the Public Ministry, with competence in the defense of women.
