Deployment of Chinese soldiers in Ukraine is a «systematic practice» of Russia

The president of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelenskyy, said Thursday that the deployment of Chinese soldiers to combat with the Russian forces in Ukraine is a «systematic practice» of Russia and has emphasized the importance of taking «all the necessary measures» to ensure that Moscow «does not continue to prolong the war.»

«We continue to investigate all the circumstances around the alleged involvement of Chinese citizens and their inclusion between Russian ranks,» Zelenskyy said in a message spread through X.

To do this, he said, Ukrainian intelligence «is carrying out all necessary measures in relation to newly captured war prisoners in Donetsk.» «All information is being examined to clarify the possible involvement of more individuals,» he said.

Zelenskyy stated that «it is not isolated cases, but of systematic efforts by Russia, especially in Chinese territory, where it recruits citizens and then fighting.»

This same Thursday, the Chinese authorities reproached the Ukrainian President for his recent comments on the alleged mass participation of Chinese citizens in the Ukraine War, and called these «irresponsible» statements.
