
A woman was arrested for trying to sneak into the Jungkook residence, a member of the popular K-Pop BTS group, the same day she was released from the mandatory military service in South Korea, local police reported Thursday.

The woman, a thirties of Chinese nationality, is accused of pressing in several times the lock of the housing door that the South Korean artist has in the Yongsan district, in Seoul, at 23:20 local time (14:20 GMT) on Wednesday, according to details of the research published by the Yonhap news agency.
The authorities arrested the woman at the scene after the alleged attempt to search.
The detainee would have declared the police that he had traveled to South Korea to see Jungkook, who was discharged from the army on the eve after ending 18 months of military service.

Another member of the band, Jimin, was also released from the same Wednesday, one day after two of the members, RM and V.
As also happened on Tuesday, Jungkook and Jimin participated in a brief televised ceremony in a Public Stadium from the Yeconcheon County, about 70 kilometers north of Seoul, still wearing their military uniform and from where they directed to the press and numerous followers gathered there, arrived from various countries.
Jin and J-Hope completed their service in 2023.
