Tehran rules out damage to its nuclear facilities, but alerts radiation risks

The head of the Atomic Energy Agency of Iran (AEAI), Mohamed ESMII, said Wednesday that underground nuclear facilities attacked by Israel are operational and the government assured that it does not face fuel shortage problems.

«The underground nuclear facilities of Iran are operational and our most motivated scientists than ever,» said the head of the Atomic Energy Agency of Iran (AEAI), Mohamed Eslami, after six days of Israeli bombings against Iranian facilities.

The words of ESAMI occur after the Israeli army announced on Wednesday that a nuclear centrifuger production plant and several armament manufacturing facilities in Tehran attacked during the night.

«The moral of our colleagues in nuclear facilities is excellent and are carrying out their task firmly,» added the Iranian head.

Eslami also had harsh words for the general director of the International Atomic Energy Agency (OIEA), the Argentine Rafael Grossi, whom he accused of having played a «destructive» role in this crisis.

«It has been negligent enough to be remembered in history. He has played a destructive role. We hope that this is remembered in history and that its historic negligence led to these bad uses, ”he said.

For his part, the Iranian minister of oil, Mohsen Paknejad, indicated that the country «will not have a problem» to keep the population supply and that the Iranians should not worry.

Paknejad added, according to the Fars agency, that in any case there could be restrictions in some long -term areas.

Tehran gas stations show long lines of vehicles trying to reproduce, something that Iranian media have reported, while many Iranians have abandoned their homes, especially in the capital, due to the constant bombings.

Israel began in Friday morning a bombing campaign on Iran with the argument of stopping the Iranian nuclear program, which Tehran replied with a similar response that has caused the death of more than two hundred people in Iran and about twenty in Israel.efe
