The White House Press Secretary, Karoline Leavitt, said Thursday that President Donald Trump will make a decision about Israel’s conflict with Iran in the next two weeks.
Leavitt He quoted a message from the president: «Based on the substantial possibility of negotiations with Iran in the near future, I will make my decision on whether or not I will go in the next two weeks.»
The press secretary indicated that several rounds of negotiations with Iran have been held and said the conversations continue.
«President Trump inherited the global instability of the previous administration. He is always interested in diplomacy, but he is not afraid to use force,» Leavitt said and said that the president’s main priorities are to guarantee stability in the Middle East and that Iran will not be able to obtain a nuclear weapon because it would represent a threat to the United States and Israel.
Israel attacked Iran nuclear facilities last Friday and eliminated some of the country’s main generals. Iran has responded by attacking Tel Aviv and other places in Israel.
This Thursday, an Iranian missile bombardment hit the Soroka hospital, leaving more than 70 people injured.
