A Venezuelan couple was shot dead in Peru

A couple of Venezuelans was killed in Arequipa, Peru. The victims, identified as Ali Antonio Tineo Mata, 26, and Niurka Astudilla Mejías, 23, received at least 15 shots.

The police version indicates that some motorized persecuted Venezuelans while they were aboard a vehicle. This was reported by América Televisión.

After reaching them, the couple got out of the car in a desolate area and that was where they were shot at close range.

It is known that Tineo Mata worked as a taxi driver and resided in Arequipa for seven years.

Regarding the reasons for this double homicide, the National Police investigates whether it responds to an account adjustment or an extortion case.

In this case, Mayor Renzo Salas, who announced that they will increase surveillance with the installation of 40 security cameras, according to the information published by Diario Los Andes.

On March 15, another crime occurred against a Venezuelan in Arequipa. On this occasion, Sicarios murdered Junior Valdez Rojas and wounded three people in a shooting.
